Aaron Knodle is a current graduate student at Boston University where he studies choral conducting with Ann Howard Jones and Scott Allen Jarrett. Knodle comes to the Boston area after serving for three years as the Assistant Choral Director at Roosevelt High School, Sioux Falls, SD. At Roosevelt he co-conducted five daily rehearsals including Freshman Chorus, Mixed Chorus and the auditioned Concert Choir. He also conducted the auditioned ensembles Executive Chamber and President’s Men, and served as the show band director for Executive Suite.
Knodle has served as a church musician, both director and organist for over ten years and is currently the Director of Music at Old South Union Church, South Weymouth, MA. At Old South Union he serves as the organist for Sunday services, conducts the Senior Choir and oversees the daily operation of the music program. Knodle is also a frequent music director for musical theater productions, most recently Grease, Into the Woods and Shrek, The Musical.
Knodle is a graduate of Luther College, Decorah, IA where he earned his B. A. in Music Education in 2011. He also studied choral conducting and organ performance at the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
