Michael Rice is the director of Joy in Piano, and is a piano faculty member of Indian Hill Music. Between China, the United Kingdom, and his home country of the United States, he has been teaching private and group piano lessons for more than fifteen years. Michael is currently the accompanist for the Salisbury Singers of Worcester and the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. In addition, he has served as lead clinician for Piano Adventures in China, with more than two thousand teachers from all over China attending his training sessions.
Michael has previously held positions as a classroom music teacher, organist/ choir director, theater music director, and early childhood music and movement teacher. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Anna Maria College, and his principal piano instructors include Dr. Robert Goepfert and Mark Marquis.
