Feb. 8 – Return to Salisbury Singers
Join us as we return to a season of singing with Salisbury Singers in our online virtual format. This welcome event will include plenty of time to catch up with members of the chorus in small groups as well as singing through several songs from the Fall semester and learning a few new pieces. This will also be a time to ask questions about the semester ahead and offer ideas and thoughts for future projects.
Feb. 15 – Continuing Our Vocal Journey! – Margaret M. Tartaglia, CMVT, PACB
Join us as Peggy Tartaglia, Salisbury’s resident Singing Voice Specialist helps us resume our journey to vocal health & wellness. She will provide us with practical vocal tips and a method to maintain a healthy and efficient instrument. Together, we will have an opportunity to execute vocal exercises which reduce muscle tension and enable each singer to recognize sensations that will free their voice. There will also be an opportunity to see Peggy “in action” as she works with a singer in a virtual format to help them accomplish vocal freedom.
Feb. 22 – Song Work: Evening #1
Brad Dumont introduces the repertoire that will be the focus of the virtual recording projects for the ensemble and begins the preparation work to allow all singers to participate.
Mar. 1 – Song Work: Evening #2
Brad Dumont and Will Goliger spend the evening coaching parts in sectionals and helping singers prepare for the recording projects on the selected Salisbury Singers repertoire.
Mar. 8 – Song Work: Evening #3 and Recording Week
Singers put the final touches on the recording repertoire in rehearsal and prepare to perform their pieces. This week singers will schedule individual times to visit our recording engineer in Worcester and sing for a recording that he will put together with audio and video of our work.
Mar. 15 – Open Sing: Faure Requiem
Join Brad Dumont with choral soloists and organ for a sing through of Faure’s Requiem from your homes. Soloists will sing the choral parts live from the performance hall in Worcester along with several smaller works. This will be a great evening to spend singing works both old and new.
Mar. 22 – Exploring Passion Settings from Bach to Today
Brad Dumont leads a discussion on choral settings of the passion story through history, including the great passions of Bach and contemporary interpretations of the passion like Osvaldo Golijov’s as well as Craig Hella Johnson’s work Considering Matthew Shepard.
Mar. 29 and 31 – Osvaldo Golijov’s La Pasión según San Marcos (St. Mark Passion)
Assumption University presents a community viewing of Holy Cross Professor Osvaldo Golijov’s major work, La Pasión según San Marcos in recording. Following the viewing, there will be a brief discussion to reflect on the work and on Wednesday, March 31 all viewers are invited to participate in a talkback session live with Golijov. PLEASE NOTE: March 29 start time will be 8:00pm

Similarly to the Fall, we will ask for contributions as you are able to continue sustaining the organization during this period of virtual singing. We know that not everyone may be able to contribute and we do not want that to be a barrier to participation.
Payments may be made safely and securely with paypal or any credit card through the button below. At each session we will also offer the opportunity to contribute a drop-in fee via our website. If you have not contributed, and are able and willing, please come prepared to do so then. We suggest a drop-in rate of $10 per session
